I worked with Shirley at Trump Castle later Trump Marina and on occasions we carpooled. She was funny and a great listener. I haven't seen her in years but it doesn't diminish my feeling of loss. Shirley would never tell her age so I can see her standing around with her hand on her hip smiling, saying...it's still none of their business!
I'm so sorry to hear of Shirley's passing. I worked with her in Atlantic City and I thought of her as a friend. She was a very smart and kind lady. I saw her last year and we had a great reunion. My condolences to your family. RIP Shirley
Mom what can I say, I'm speechless that you are gone. You were such a jewel to me. I was very fortunate to have a mother like you because you were priceless. Thank you for all of your love and support that you poured into me. In doing so it molded me into the woman I am today. Words cannot express how much I will miss you. Your loving daughter Tanya.
It's so hard to believe 2 years have passed since God called home one of his flowers. My heart still hurts like it did that day. People say it will get better with time. I do know God is a comforter. Shirley became my official mom when I was 12yrs old. She and Charlie (munch) didn't hesitate to offer to adopt me and I became theirs despite some obstacles. I have so many wonderful memories with her. When my eyes begin to fill with tears, I can pull up a precious memory that will change my tears to a smile or even laughter. She was an awesome example of a woman with style, grace and conviction to what she believed for which I modeled. My children and grandchildren are blessed to have great memories of her as well. Rest now with God mom. A friend gave me a necklace that says "the chain will link again".
