Charnay Devon Michael was born on June 20, 1982, in Birmingham, Alabama to Otis and Marche Michael. She transitioned on February 10, 2024. Charnay was Christened at Green Liberty Baptist Church in Birmingham, AL on July 18th, 1982. Charnay and her family relocated to Palmyra, New Jersey in October of 1983 when she was one year old. She attended elementary school and middle school in Mount Laurel, NJ and graduated from Lenape High School in 2000. She continued her education by graduating from Farleigh Dickinson University with a bachelor's in Business Administration in 2010.
In her professional career, Charnay worked for several business organizations in the Philadelphia and South Jersey metropolitan area in various capacities. Some of her positions were as an administrative assistant with such organizations as Open Sky - a Division of Capital Bank, Virtua Healthcare, Philabundance (a Non-Profit), City of Philadelphia Mental Healthcare Corporation, St. Claire Certified Public Accountants, and Conner, Strong & Buckalew Property and Casualty Insurance.
Charnay was a passionate fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and the Philadelphia Phillies sports teams. She enjoyed rooting for both teams throughout their seasons.
Charnay was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Otis Sr. and Mamie Michael; and her maternal grandparents, Josephine Robinson, Bruce Robinson, and Emmitt Wilson, Sr.
Charnay leaves behind her loving mother, Marche Michael and her father, Otis Michael, Jr.; brother, Erik Michael; sister-in-law, Marsha Michael; uncles, Harold Walker, Revawn Wilson, Emmit Wilson, Jr.; and aunt, Evelyn Michael Smith, as well as a host of loving cousins and special family and friends.
