Obituary of Helen V. Golden

Helen Vivian Golden was born to Lucius and Florence Blocker on February 28, 1924, in Graniteville, South Carolina. Helen was the eldest of three children. William Blocker and Benjamin Peterson preceded her in death. Later in years, Helen married Arthur B. Golden who preceded her in death. From this union, one child was born, Gwendolyn M. Golden. In 1968, Helen moved to Atco, New Jersey where she became a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. She served on the Usher Board for many years as the President. Helen was employed at Mrs. Paul's Frozen Foods, Johnson & Johnson in Indian Mills, New Jersey, where she retired and her last employment being the Berlin Farmer's Market until her health failed. Helen was always know for being a quiet and proud woman. If anything, let's remember, she lived a full and wonderful life to the fullest. Helen leaves in loving memory, her devoted daughter, Gwendolyn M. Golden: three grandchildren, Sheena Golden of Stratford, NJ, Sean (Andrea) Golden of Germany and Sherron Golden of Sicklerville, NJ; three great grandchildren, Domir, sky and Brooklyn; devoted nephews, UL Peterson of Lincoln, Nebraska, Benjamin, Anthony and Bruce, all of Graniteville, SC; devoted nieces, Alice Peterson, Loretta Blocker-Robinson, Pat, Florence and Lola all of Graniteville, SC; great niece and nephew, Tirrell and Tycee Peterson; 27 great nieces and nephews, God-daughter, Vivian Calhoun of New York and a host of loving cousins, family and friends.
