Obituary of Avrielle Felicity McGhee

Avrielle Felicity McGhee was born on December 10, 2008 at 8:48am at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. She weighed in at 8 pounds was 21 inches long. She passed peacefully in the presence of her loving family on April 2, 2011 at 8:32 pm at the University of Maryland Medical center. Avrielle was the daughter of Antonia Danel McGhee and Hana Ama Sam. She is survived by one sibling, Annalyse Patricia McGhee and two first cousins, Mackenzie Sam and Halayna McGhee. She also leaves behind a great grandfather, Wilie Hooper, a maternal grandmother, Phoebe Felicity Sam, a paternal grandmother Patricia Ann McGhee and many, many more loving aunts, uncles and cousins that loved her dearly. During her two short yet unforgettable years her on earth she touched many lives and was loved deeply by family and friends. During her brief visit on earth, she enjoyed listening to music, dancing, cuddling with soft toys, being held close by her parents and grandparents and most importantly, she loved her baby sister dearly. She was loved by all who met her and will be greatly missed. Her life was a special gift to us that will live on as her organs were donated and received by an 11 month old boy and an 8 year old girl who were in need. With Avrielle's passing we remind others that her life was one to be celebrated and although we will miss her everyday, especially her winning smile and spunk, she will always remain forever in our hearts. We are grateful for all the wonderful memories and it was a privilege to be her parents. We are so thankful Avrielle's sister Annalyse met her and she will hold dear the memory of Avrielle's gentle spirit. So instead of goodbye, we say till we meet again Avrielle. Love always.
