Obituary of Henry A. Wiggins

Henry A. Wiggins was born September 20, 1930 in the city of New York, to Louisa Jones-Wiggins and Henry D. Wiggins. His early education took place in New York and Philadelphia. The New York College of Music and University of Maryland provided his advanced studies. A Bachelor's of Science degree in Business Management was earned at Maryland.

Military service was required, so he embarked on a twenty year career in the U.S. Air Force that took him to Japan where he was captivated by Mu-Tan Lu Ko "Joyce" of Taiwan. They were married on July 7, 1955 in Tokyo.

After a 1972 retirement and a four year stay in Taiwan, they returned to America and settled in New Jersey fifteen miles from Philadelphia. The Garden State and employment at RCA was both convenient and timely but entering Civil Service with the Department of Commerce was a blessing.

However, Shangri-La was destoyed when Joyce passed away in 1990 leaving both Henry and his daughter Cheryl (born 1960) broken hearted. Joyce never met her eventual grandchildren; Kenneth (born August 5, 1991) and Cindia (born Fenruary 24, 1995.)

A firm believer in the importance of community involvement, Henry was a respected member of the Kappa Alpha PSI Fraternity for more than 60 years. Loved by his friends, family and neighbors, he leaves behind his grandchildren (including Susan), two nieces Robin and Doris, and two nephews Kenton and Trevor.

Preceded in death by siblings Howard, Rosetta and Eleanor...Henry will now take his place with Joyce, in the hallowed ground of The Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, the final resting place for those who honorably served their country.
