Charles Michael Sewell, 66, of Pleasantville, departed this life on Friday, April 15 , 2016, at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Campus. He was born and raised in Atlantic City, where he attended public schools, and also Second Baptist Church. He had worked in various jobs in the area, including as a window washer at Tropicana Hotel Casino, and as a factory worker at Lenox China in Pomona. He served his country during the Vietnam War, enlisting in the United States Army, which subsequently led to his being a disabled Army veteran. Michael was predeceased by his parents, Howard Sewell and Florence Pollard; and his brother, Rubin Sewell. Surviving are two daughters, Dawn Walker of Atlantic City, and Danielle Maddrey (Michael) of Blackwood; six siblings, Ronald Sewell (Gerri) of Florida, Cynthia Jones of Hillside, Patricia Johnson of Pleasantville, Calvin Kelly (Diane) of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Oscar Ramsey of Berlin and Andrea Ramsey of Pleasantville; five grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
