Roscoe Randolph Woods, Jr. was born on July 24, 1943 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He was the second child of the late Roscoe Randolph Sr. and Grace Ellen Lightfoot-Woods. From their union, Roscoe had one sister, the late Nancy Ellen Russell-Nixon. Roscoe attended Central Catholic High School in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where he played The Pittsburgh Symphony Jr. Orchestra. He began his college education at The University of Pittsburgh and then enlisted in the United States Navy. After being honorably discharged, he attended numerous colleges and universities, earning three Master degrees. He always loved sharing all of his acquired knowledge with family and friends. He also discovered a love for teaching and taught at Camden County Community College and Rowan University. Roscoe discovered his true passion for photography and could usually be found behind a camera lens. Roscoe leaves to mourn four children: Darryl Woods (Anthony Swann), LaSawn Woods, Jason Farmer-Woods and Megan Woods. Roscoe also leaves 7 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, friends and his best friend and ex-wife, Josephine Woods.
