Eleanor Dupree was born on January 9, 1935, the oldest child of Julia and George Johnson. She attended the public schools in Philadelphia PA, graduating from Murrell Dobbins Vocational Technical High School in 1953. She was married to George Dupree; who preceded her in death. Eleanor worked at the Philco-Ford Company for several years. She enjoyed her work, excelling in many areas and ultimately being promoted. She was affectionately known as "Mrs Ford",and she retired in 1996. After joining Enon Tabernacle Baptist Church in 1990 she became very active, working with the homeless and the Congregational Care Giver (CCG). Eleanor was vibrant lady, always ready to talk. She was avid traveler for years attending many of the Philadelphia Eagles football team's away games and traveling to many resort countries. Eleanor leaves to mourn her passing; 1 sister; Martha Mcdougall (Weldon), 2 nieces; Dionne Washington (Vincent) and Denise Spencer (Gerald), 1 godson; Lance Jenkins, 1 nephew; Weldon (Lakeiera), 1 greatnephew; Kristopher, 1great niece; Moriah, a very close sister; Norma Sheppard, a longtime partner; Theophilus Woodson, who preceded her in death and a host of other relatives and friends.
