Harry Westley Hampton “Hamp” was born July 30, 1943 in Camden, NJ. He was the son of the late Edgar and Florence Hampton. He joined Evergreen Baptist Church as a teen and loved to sing. He attended Palmyra High School and graduated in 1962. Hamp was a Football player and avid sports fan, which earned him the nickname, “Quick”. While attending Palmyra High he met Louise Hinson, whom he would wed and from this union they had 3 daughters Rhonda, Renee and Rochelle. He was employed by Aluminum Shapes in Pennsauken and Hoeganaes in Cinnaminson. He was a member of the Austin Singers, Evergreen Inspirational Choir and Men’s Choir. He was a former Mason of Shekinah Lodge #32, Riverside, NJ. He could be found in Bobby’s with his famous Clams Casino or just cooking up a great meal. He will also be remembered for his sharp style of dressing and his taste in cars. The Lord called him home to rest October 24, 2015. He was preceded in death by his older Brother Donald Hampton. He leaves to mourn his Wife, Louise Hampton; his children Rhonda, Renee, Rochelle, Lindy and Brittany; his Sister, Ethel Mae Hampton; Grandchildren, Courtney, Taryn, Taron, Darryle, Adonis, Zamaury and Zameir; one Aunt, Lena Birkhead; Sister in laws and Brother in laws, MaryAnn and Oscar, Doris and Rocky, Albert and Gloria, Lola, Geraldine and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
