Jeffrey Bernard Atkins, 51, of Atlantic City departed this life on June 20, 2015. Jeff was born in Albany, Georgia, and has been an Atlantic City resident since the age of 2. He was most recently employed by Seashore Sprinklers; however he worked in the construction industry for many years. Jeffrey was good with his hands and could build just about anything.
After high school, he took courses at Atlantic Community College and other trade schools. Jeffrey attended Second Baptist Church.
Jeff was an avid sports fan who loved to talk trash and tease others about their team. He will be missed by his family and friends.
Jeffrey was predeceased by his beloved mother, Mrs. Ann L. Atkins; his sister, Marsha D. Atkins; and his brother, Martin S. Atkins.
Jeffrey is survived by his daughter, Amber (Atkins) Robinson of Washington, DC; his father, Earnest Atkins, Sr. of Albany, Georgia; his brothers, Ernest Atkins, Jr. of Pleasantville, and Alfred Hakim Atkins of Atlantic City; his sisters, Andrea Atkins Turner (William) of Egg Harbor Township, and Keisha A. Nixon (Shucriox) of East Orange, New Jersey, and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Jeffrey is also survived by his best friend, Melvin Lewis and his family of Atlantic City.
