Obituary of Diante Taran Owens

Diante T. Owens 22, of Pleasantville, departed this life on Sunday, March 1, 2015.   Diante was born in the AtlantiCare Medical Center in Pomona, New Jersey. He attended local public schools in Atlantic City and then Pleasantville, graduating from Pleasantville High School with the Class of 2010.   After graduating from high school, Diante worked for McDonald’s in Pleasantville until he completed his course requirements at the Casino Gambling Institute (CGI). Upon graduating from CGI, he became a Blackjack and Poker Dealer at Bally’s Casino in Atlantic City, NJ. He also worked at the Shore Diner in Northfield, NJ and most recently at Sam’s Wholesale in Pleasantville NJ. While at Sam’s he felt it was his job to get you to stuff your mouth with the samples he served and wanted you to spend your money to help him keep his job. He always had a smile and something uplifting to say to you.     Surviving are: his loving parents, Margreta Medley and Craig Owens of Pleasantville, NJ; his special mentor and valued father figure, Henry Ceasar; his daughter, Tarajii; two sisters, Re’Ana and Majesty of Pleasantville; two brothers, Craig, Jr. of San Diego, CA and Kwa’near of Pleasantville, NJ; his very special friend and mother of his daughter, Kadijah Faulkner; maternal grandparents, Sandra and Henry Charles, and Winston Medley, Jr.;  paternal grandparents, Clyde and Myrtice Owens, and a host of other relatives and friends.
