Grandma, I love you and will miss you. You were like another parent to me and someone I could always talk to about anything. I will miss talking to you so much. You were always available, when I needed a reality check. You were always there to fix my shaken confidence and remind me that I am an Adkins and capable of anything. You were a role model , and a shining example of how valuable an education truly is. You are the reason why my ambition and need for knowledge is limitless. I love you and I am eternally grateful for the way you enriched my life. I am eternally grateful for the man you raised to be my father. I could go on forever about every aspect of my life, that you touched... Grandma, I love you!

Mom,
It has been an absolute joy to be your son and what you have given me in life you will continue to give me in spirit. I love you very much and I know you will be their for me always. In the early years as your oldest child all I ever wanted to do was make you proud. In baseball, I ran the bases faster than anyone else, hit the ball further than anyone and sometimes hitting multiple homeruns in your honor. You taught me the value of a good education and I loved seeing your smile after handing you a report card or an All-Star trophy. The honor was for you , I was just a kid having fun! Thank you for being their always.
John 16:21
When a woman is giving birth, she has sorrow because her hour has come, but when she has delivered the baby, she no longer remembers the anguish, for joy that a human being has been born into the world.

Adele you were my mentor and friend. The time we spent together at Winslow in the Special Education Dept. were some of the best years of my teaching career. So many memories of class trips, advise you gave me, your ability to see the humor in most situations will always be with me. We have truly lost a special person, but you will live on in our memories. God bless you, rest in peace.

Adele whom I always referred to as Adkins, you were a true mentor to me. As I changed careers from business to education with the birth of my son, you invited into your class to try on your shoes in teaching. From that moment we were together for 16 years until you retired and I obtained my teaching certification. The experience I learned from you helped me to have 10 years and 2 masters in education under my belt. We should have written a book together of our experiences. Thank you for your guidance, support, and the sharing of your knowledge. God Bless you.

I met Adele when I taught at Winslow School 4 beginning in 1989. I observed in passing her classroom what an excellent teacher she was. I marveled at her expertise. Her students loved her! By the time I retired, I knew her as a leader and a wonderful example of our profession. What a privilege to have taught in the same school as Adele. Please accept my deepest sympathy to her loved ones.

Dear mom, I love you with all my heart. You have been and will always be an inspiration to me. I've spent my entire life doing my best to make you proud of me. I wanted to be exactly like you. I chose my profession because of you.I grew up watching you live your life dedicated to helping others in any and every way possible. I can only hope that you knew how very much I admired the woman you were. You taught me how to love myself unconditionally. You showered me with love and affection and made sure I always had what I needed. You allowed me to dream and then made sure that I had the strength and perseverance to make my dreams come true. You were so unselfish and giving and I thanked God every day, literally, for blessing me with you. It is because of you that I am able to overcome any obstacles that come my way. I grieve for you each and every day in my own way. You are my heartbeat, my mimzy, my love, my mommy. I can only hope to leave a legacy the likes of which you have left behind. Your loving daughter, Robin.

Mom,
You welcomed and excepted me into your family with open arms
I knew I would fit when I saw your smile and charm.
You allowed me to love you and your son,
God gave you your crown and said well done.
When God choose a Mother-In-Law and gave you to me
He picked a precious Angel in thee.
Your spirit was filled with warmth and love
Truly you are my Angel from above.
Our conversations and road trips will always be treasured
My love for you can not be measured.
We laughed and talked and would even sing
When I hear that sound, I'll know it's your ring.
You gave your heart, love and advised
Losing you brings tears to my eyes
I'll try and be strong as you would want me to
I know you'll be watching and protecting, that's just you.
Memories will forever be in my heart
GOD wanted you more so we had to part
One of these days GOD will call me in
On that day I will see you beautiful smile again.
