Robert C. Coppin, Sr., age 76, born to Joseph Herbert and Phyllis Russell on August 12, 1937, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Monday, December 2, 2013 in the Atlantic City Medical Center.
He attended the Atlantic City Public Schools where from there he joined the Army in 1956 and served until 1959. He was a manager of Consolidated Laundries from there he retired and joined Local Union 415 where he retired to enjoy his family, fishing and Jazz Concerts.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Herbert; mother Phyllis Russell and nephew, Larry Dabney.
He leaves to cherish his memory, daughter, Roberta M. Coppin of Atlantic City; son, Robert C. Coppin, Jr. of Atlantic City; loving companion, Stella Ray of Galloway; four grandchildren, Ahmad and Aanyai Biggins, Stephen Hunter II and Kevin Cottman, Jr.; sisters, Brenda Harker of California, Carmen Littlejohn of Atlantic City; brothers, oland Russell (Fannie) of North Carolina, Herbert Joseph of Virginia, Troy Strachan of Atlantic City; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
