Obituary of Bartholomew B Wright

Bartholomew B. Wright, affectionately known as David, was born on February 20, 1949, to Alberta and Benjamin Wright Sr., in Philadelphia PA. One of six children, he departed this life and went home to be with our Lord and Savior on Friday June 21, 2013 at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, Galloway Township, New Jersey. Bartholomew graduated from Edgewood Regional Senior High School where he played on the varsity basketball team. Upon graduation he joined the United States Navy where he served in the Vietnam War as a Chief Petty Officer. He met and married his childhood sweetheart, Dinese Wilson of Manhattan, New York on July 11, 1970. Of this union came two daughters and a son, Wendy, Wanda and Wesley. Bartholomew received Christ as his Lord and Savior at Resurrection Ministries where his worship began as a member of the men's choir. His dedication to the Lord was shown through his active membership so much that on Sunday, November 13, 2005 he was given the position of deacon. Other than his church activities he was a member of the Green Mountain Lodge #21 in Glassboro NJ as a mason. He was preceded in death by his father, Benjamin Wright Sr, his sister, Bernadette Knox and his loving nephews Ricky Adkins and Terry Knox Jr. He leaves to cherish his found memory: wife, Dinese; three children, Wendy, Wanda and Wesley; three grandsons, Echelon, Wesley Jr., Alijah; one daughter-in-law, Teena; his mother Alberta Wright, four siblings, Benjamin Wright Jr., Adele Adkins, Agatha Wright and Alfonzo Wright and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
