Obituary of Sandra L. Reed

Reed, Sandra L. Without warning, death plucked a flower from our garden on Monday, December 21, 2009. Sandra Lenore Reed was born on August 21, 1944 to Mary Alice Williams Reed and the late Mark Reed in Mt. Holly, NJ. Sandra was educated in the Cinnaminson School System and graduated from Palmyra High School in 1962. She also attended Pierce Junior College. Sandra regularly attended St. Paul Baptist Church of Cinnaminson. She was always a "behind the scene" person, always willing to help when asked. You could always find her sitting on the left side of St. Paul next to her mother or one of her best friends, Barb. Sandra enjoyed spending time with her family and friends with little time for herself. Her hobbies were cooking, gardening, sewing and shopping. To know "Sani" as she was affectionately called, was to love her. For over forty years plus, Sandra was employed at Dun and Bradstreet in Philadelphia. After retiring in 2006, Sandra became a valuable asset to the Law Firm of Elmore and Pugh in Philadelphia where she was employed until her untimely passing. Sandra was a dedicated member of the New Jersey State Federation of Colored Women's Club. On the State level, she served on the Trustee Board and the Hospitality Committee. For the past few years, she was crowned Ms. Federation at the annual convention. On the local level, she was the President of The Club Ebonettes. Sandra leaves to cherish her memory, her beloved mother, Mary Alice Hooper; her sister, Phyllis Reed; her brother, Michael Reed; her aunt, Gloria Williams; her extended family who were very special to her, James Butler, Barbara Fussell-Cobb, Sandra Jackson and Sandra McGlotten, and a host of cousins, family and friends. Services will be held 11AM Monday, December 28, 2009, at St. Paul Baptist Church, 1420 Bannard Street, Cinnaminson. Viewing hours will be from 9 until 11AM Only. Burial in Lakeview Memorial Park, Cinnaminson, NJ.
