Obituary of Katie Anne Moore

Katie Anne Moore was born on December 9, 1921 in Edgefield, South Carolina to the late Lula and Henry Greene. At the age of 17, Katie moved to New York to live with her sister Cora and her husband. Later in life, she met and married Parker Moore, Sr. From this union, they had two children Steve Howard Moore and Delores Anne Moore. In 1978, Katie and Parker relocated to West Atco, New Jersey. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church of West Atco, where she diligently served and was the Mother of the church. While living in New York she had worked as a Home Health Care Nurse for Helping Hands for 55 years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Parker Moore, Sr. and her son, Steve Howard Moore. On Tuesday, March 19, 2013, Katie answered God's call to go home in the Lord's glory. Those left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Delores Anne Moore of Sicklerville; her sister, Effie Williams of Edgefield, SC; her brother, George Greene of Brooklyn, NY; daughter-in-law, Bervia Moore of NY; also 5 grandchildren, Derek, Michael, David and Gary Moore and Robert "Rocky" Muluk; 4 great grandchildren, Dashawn, Jakeem, Shannon and Christophe; 2 great great granddaughters, Aniya and Sanai; one great great grandson, Evren Moore; granddaughters-in-law, Paula Moore, Lorraine Moore and a host of other family members and friends.
