Our dear cousin Orlando lovingly known as Beaver, will forever be in our hearts. He was more than a cousin, he was our brother. This is a huge loss for our family. We all wish we had him a little longer, but God wanted him sooner. Love to Laurie and BJ.. we are here for you both. Love you.

It hurts my heart that my friend since 2nd grade has move beyond this earth. I cannot make it up from Louisiana, but Orlando, my homie forever, Beaver, will be missed. I called him B40 and he called me Rot40. Every Oct 15th I’d text him for his birthday. It became a ritual. As many of us called on “Beaver” to help sooth our broken hearts, it is our turn to help sooth the hearts of Laurie, BJ, Mrs. Anna, Vet and Bo. Beaver’s life mission truly became a ministry to the community. I cannot count the number of people that said, “if it wasn’t for Beaver,I don’t think I could have gotten through this”. Beav was an artist in the craft of soothing the broken hearted. He knew just what was needed and when it was needed to help get you to a better place.
I’ll miss my friend dearly.
Your homeboy Rot40

On behalf of Dickerson-Reed family. I would like to send my Condolences out to my family Aunt Mae. Cousins Yvette and Edwin. To cousin Beaver's wife Laurie and son Orlando Jr. To his niece's, nephews aunts and cousins. When we were growing up we spent alot of time together, we grew apart as we grew up and life got in the way, however whenever we saw each other it was like no time had past. Beaver was a good guy always with a joke to crack or witty comment, he always made you feel comfortable. I appreciate him helping with my brother Sy and my mommy Augustine Dickerson even though he was battling his own health problems he made time for our family when we needed comforting the most. Love you cousin we will continue to pray for your family's strength and understanding.

On behalf of the Dickerson family, we give our condolences to the Covington family. Rest in Power my dear cousin Beaver. To his mother (Aunt May), to sister Yvette, and his younger brother Bo. To his wife and son BJ, his nephews and nieces and all his relatives and friends. I know this time is hard to bare, but we have to stay strong and to know God does not make ANY MISTAKES.
Beaver G. Covington was a good dude... He would go out of his way to help you anyone he can. He was there for me when I needed him the most, with my mother's transition and my brother Sy. I can't find the words to describe how much this hurts. But I ask God to send an Angel of comfort to ease this pain in our hearts. I Charles D. Will miss my cousin something terrible.
Love you Man, until we meet again.

I want to honor the life of my brother, Beaver. I’d known Beav for over 50 years as we grew up together in West Atco - it’s hard to believe so much time passed so quickly and that my brother is with the Lord.
Growing up, my brother was a great friend, but he wasn’t a great basketball player, but he played with heart - Lol. Yes, he put his heart into everything to which he focused. Beav was one of my best friends, but more like a brother, who I’ll miss, and never forget. He was a good man, good husband, good father, good son, good friend and a good brother.
Go gently into that good night my brother, embrace the eternity of the light of the Lord. You are at peace.

Orlando was more than a friend to me, he was like a younger brother. When I was in New Jersey he had assisted me in planning my Homegoing. I recently spoke with him about locating a funeral director in Georgia, since we had moved out of New Jersey. He told me. "Rev, if you are not satisfied, I will come down there and lay you to rest myself", and I believe that he would have. He was a kind, caring, and professional gentleman. And whenever I met with him and a family planning a homegoing service; satisfing, and comforting the family came before profit. He truly demonstrated the command to: "Love THE LORD with all your heart, and your neighbor as yourself."
