Obituary of Hilary C. Wilson

Hilary Claudina Wilson was born in Petite Martinique, Grenada on January 8, 1929. She was the daughter of the late Maximin & Virginia (Angela) Joseph. Wife of the late Frank Benjamin Wilson who predeceased her July 22, 2003. Hilary and Frank moved to Trinidad in 1949, where they raised their four children. She moved with her husband Frank to New York in the early 1970's settling in Queens. When they retired, they relocated to Carriacou, Grenada where they spent many beautiful years together. When she became ill, she transitioned to New Jersey where she spent her final years with her family. Our dear mother passed peacefully with her loved ones by her side on February 19, 2024, at the age of 95. She leaves to cherish her memory her children: Roland Wilson (Sandra), Goodwin Wilson (Mary), Gemma Brown (Fred) and Ann Marie Holder (Russell); Grandchildren: Ross, Novonne, Christopher, Kareem (Zaimah), Dexter, Sharif (Kia), Jasmine, Janine & Justin; Great Grandmother to Tristen, Rayanne, Kairah & Kaamil. She was predeceased by her siblings: Babs Joseph, Magnus Joseph, Walter Joseph, Cosmos Joseph & Winifred John. Survived by Sonny Joseph, Monica Williams, Rupert Joseph, Daphne Jones, Marion & Jerome Caesar. She would also be remembered by her nieces, nephews, sisters in law: Evina, Norma & Liz and many cousins and friends. Hilary enjoyed gardening, knitting & watching shows like "The View" as well as spiritual programs. Her greatest joy was being a homemaker. She enjoyed raising her children and spending time with her grand and great grandchildren. We would like to thank our loving sister Gemma for her devotion to mom as well as all the caregivers and Heartland Hospice for their professional service. She will be greatly missed and always be remembered as our beautiful "Mother".
