Big Ant.. Your legacy will forever live on. I'll never forget having minor conversations with you in regards to getting in the IT realm. If it wasn't for your positive influence, I would not be where I am today. I love you Cousin!

Anthony was my big cousin. There are not many Men in my life that I can say I looked up to, but Anthony was one of them. He was a great inspiration to me and was someone who showed us all how to do things the right way. Anthony inspired me to go to college and get my Associate’s degree and when we talked at the family reunion I remember telling him, “Cuz, I’m getting ready to go back and finish this Bachelor’s degree. I’m gon’ take one class at a time until I’m done.” He was even giving me advice on that, like make sure the school will transfer all your credits. I was like no doubt. I’m now 15 credits away from completing and Ant was going to be one of the first people I called like yo Cuz I finally got it done! Ant was always a person who would give me great advice. There was a time when I was going through a hard time moving to a new state and trying to find work, and he gave me encouragement. He was like you will find something. This will not last forever. He was right. I had never experienced that before so it felt like it would last forever. He helped me update my resume and everything. When I lived in Jersey we would always get together when the weather got nice and go run ball. That was a yearly tradition for us and it’s one of the things I truly missed when I left the State. Ant was also a guy I would bounce new music I discovered off of. Ant was a lot more picky than me when it came to the R&B he would listen to but I was usually able to send him some stuff that he actually wound up liking. Another funny thing was Ant was a guy who would add subwoofers to his cars because he loved Bass but he didn’t change out the speakers. He only cared about the BASS! That was always funny to me. Another funny story from back in the day was when Ant got his hands on the first CD he ever saw, I remember him running into the house and putting it on the record player to see what would happen. He cracked up laughing the last time I told him that story and said, “Yooo you remembered that!” It was a Chipmunks CD at that. Everybody knows about Ant’s smile but Ant had a laugh like no other too. I remember back in the day we was watching I’m Gon Git You Sucka and he was crying laughing at the part where Isaac Hayes slipped on the bullet and shot himself 50 times! He kept rewinding it over and over. That always stuck in my head cause he had us all cracking up. Every time I watch that part I always think about him. Ant would always get on me about me buying Apple computers instead of PCs. He’d be like, “I See you drank the Kool-Aid huh.” I’d bust out laughing cause he did not like Apple. These are all the moments that I will forever cherish about my cousin. Every year we would text each other on our Birthday and he sent me a Happy Father’s Day message my first Father’s Day after my daughter was born. That meant a lot to me coming from him. Man, my cousin will truly be missed. Ant was a person who everybody I know had love for. He was one of the greats. Love you forever Cuz!
