Obituary of Gloria Jean Davis

Davis, Gloria Jean was born in Camden, New Jersey on May 20, 1953 to Charles and Jean Davis. She had one brother whom she loved dearly and affectionately called Markie. Gloria was a joyful child and loved by all! She attended the Berlin Township School System and graduated with the Class of 1971 from Overbrook High School. She held various positions of employment including her dream of becoming a beautician. Anyone who knew Gloria knows she was serious about her hair! Gloria was married to Calvin Williams and together they raised two wonderful children together, Corey and Crystal. The church was Gloria's calling and she was led by the Lord to deliver His word to the world. She followed her calling and became an anointed Evangelist. She was a strong advocate for the prison ministry and instrumental in the creation and implementation of numerous church programs. She powerfully delivered God's word ministering soul stirring prayer for anyone in need even through the most painful trials of her illness. Gloria was truly an inspiration and testimony of God's grace. Gloria leaves to cherish her beautiful memory her faithful parents, Charles and Jean Davis, her brother Mark Davis Sr. (wife Bernice), one son Corey J. Davis Sr. (wife Sharon), one daughter Crystal N. Banks (husband Doug), six beautiful grandchildren, Brionna, Douglas II, Corey Jr., Devon, Cameron and DJ. She will be dearly missed by her sisters in Christ, Anita Quick, Leslie Collins, Theresa Moton, Debbie Tavares, Leslie Greenwood, Lolita McMichael, her goddaughters Shawna Chaput, Ericka Wiggins, and a host of family and friends who cared and prayed for her.
