To the Johnson and Muse Family,
I just learned of the passing of Mecca today. I use to be your neighbor from across the street from you on South Park Drive in Perth Amboy. I use to babysit Ebony and Mecca when I was a teenager. You knew me as Sharon Saunders. I got married and my last name is Budka now.
The last time I saw, Shashawn, Ebony and Mecca you were at Douglass College in New Brunswick, NJ. You were on campus because Maya Angelou was on campus as a guest speaker. I remembered being teary eyed because you and Ebony blossomed so much since the last time I saw you.
I will miss Mecca. I think of Mecca and Ebony often. I pray that the Lord will comfort you the family in your loss. Mecca continues to live on in our hearts and she is always with us because we traveled with her in our life. Mecca’s love for you was and is real. Love never fails and it doesn’t abandon us. Be comforted with these words.
