Laura was born on November 3, 1930 to the late Sidney Goodman and Leola Harris in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
She was raised in Lawnside, New Jersey by her grandparents, Laura & Henry Harris. She graduated from Camden High in 1948.
Laura was married to Mayberry for over 60 years. She loved family and was a caregiver for her twin uncles Jesse and James and her father. She grew up close to her cousins. They treated her like a sister.
Laura was a kind person who loved the Lord. She was a member of Grace Temple for over 70 years.
Left to cherish her memories are her: devoted son Barry (Bonita); 2 grandsons: James and Daniel; 6 great grandchildren; 4 sisters: Gloria Goodman, Brenda Sallad, Launa Owens and Deborah (Charles) Raikes; 1 brother: Ronald Goodman; very special niece Eboni Goodman and great niece Norhi Goodman; cousins: Dr. Linda St. Martin, Marion Carpenter, Sadie (David) Durham, Alice Wood and Jesse; 1 sister-in-law: Gloria (Joseph) Duckett and a host of friends and loved ones.
