Willie Ernest Godbee of Atlantic City, departed this life on Saturday, March 11, 2017, at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, Mainland Division, in Galloway, New Jersey. Born on February 9, 1951, in Waynesboro, Georgia, he had resided in Augusta, Georgia prior to coming to Atlantic City in 1989. Willie was formerly employed at Lou's Restaurant, and had worked in various restaurants in the area. He had also been employed at The Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa, in Guest Services. Willie was predeceased by his mother, Annie Godbee, and four brothers, Billy, George, Phillip and Jimmy. He is survived by two daughters, Tashun Godbee-Scott, of Augusta, and Catecia Godbee of Atlanta, Georgia; a sister, Jannie A. Godbee of Atlantic City; two brothers, Cicero Godbee of San Antonio, Texas, and Timothy Godbee of Oceanside, California; a son-in-law, Dennies Scott of Augusta; a sister-in-law, Shirley Godbee, of Texas; a devoted niece, Montez Blackwell of Atlantic City; 5 grandchildren, and a host of other nieces, nephews, loving relatives and friends.
